Reservation System - my thoughts !

For incredible India, it is important to distribute resources in a fair and optimal way - so that all backward people get concessions. 

I feel that today our reservation system motivates people to remain backward !!! 

If backward remains backward even after getting facilities of reservation system then I believe its a failure of system !

I’ve got an idea to change this scenario. Its just a raw idea and I am not saying its 100% perfect but it can be improved !

We can divide our society into 3 categories as backward, progressive and forward.

(All numbers used below are just for an example and can be changed accordingly)

Who is backward?

A person with income less than 2 lacs / year  or who is not a graduate.

It means if a person is billionaire but who is illiterate will be considered as a backward.

If a person is post graduate, phd holder or whatever but income is less than mentioned above will be considered as a backward.

Backwards will get all the concession facilities in education and jobs. 

Backwards will be promoted to progressive or forward level after completing their graduation depending on their incomes.

Who is Progressive?

A person with income between 2 lacs to 10 lacs/year and at least a graduate.

If a progressive person fails to maintain minimum income of 2 lacs then he/she will be moved to backward category.

If they achieve income of 10 lacs/year then will be promoted to forward.

Progressive will get partial concession facilities.

e.g. If students from progressive family background scores good marks then they will get concession in fees. If they doesn’t get good marks then they will not get concession in fees but will get guaranteed admission to the next level.

Who is Forward ?

A person with income of more than 10 lacs/year and at least a graduate.

If forward people helps backward or progressive then they shall get some reward. E.g. concessions in tax

I think we can form a better society with this approach. 

Now some of todays higher caste people may not like my idea because its narrowing gap between lower caste people and some of lower caste people may criticise me saying I am trying to take away facilities they are getting now.

According to me these kind of people are mentally backward and needs concession so that they can get better education ;-)

We really need to think out of castes and religions to move forward. Its a simple yet very difficult thing in our country.

We born as a human, now its time to die as a human too !
